La Paz, Bolivia

I didn’t have big expectations when it comes to La Paz but this nestled high (3660m) in the valley "capital" of Bolivia completely surprised me and I actually really enjoyed being here. It is by far my most favourite capital in South America though there is still Lima and Bogota to come. The city like many other cities is vast and busy but the surrounding mountains and thousands of red roof top buildings located on the valley slopes create a unique atmosphere.
