Tayrona National Park
From Taganga we went back to Santa Marta and then it took us only 1 hour on the bus to reach the gates of Tayrona National Park but after that we had to walk for nearly 2 hours through the jungle and later sandy beach with our backpacks and 7 litre of water that eventually broke half way there. I nearly collapsed a couple of times it was so bloody humid, hot, sticky and exhausting plus the weight of our big backpacks on top of us. Nonetheless we made it all the way to this hidden treasure called Cabo San Juan de Guia.
For the first time ever I got to sleep on the hammock (3 nights) pretty much under the sky. From our cliff top accommodation we had the most amazing 360 degree view of the ocean and two beautiful beaches in between. It was actually awesome feeling not to be able to sleep at night because of the loud sound of waves.
