Goodbye Bolivia and hello Peru
We came to
Peru faster than we thought we will. Due to a strike on the road to Copacabana
in Bolivia we couldn't make it to our final Bolivian destination and had to come
to Lake Titicaca from the Peruvian side instead. Funny because in the morning
we weren't even sure where we are going to end up but at the bus stop they told us
that the government didn't come to a conclusion with the strikers and so
the road had to remain closed. It’s a shame because Isla del Sol meant to be beautiful and we really hoped we are going to see it. But oh well…next time;) Bolivia was an amazing country to travel and even though it was a short visit we managed to see a bit of this
beautiful country. We continue our travel from La Paz to Puno in Peru which took us around 6-7 hrs. The trip itself was really nice as I finally got the “best
seats in the house”. Since I was a little girl I always wanted to seat either
next to the driver or somewhere in front of the bus and this time like a wee
stubborn kid I pushed my way in and I got it. The price was high though and we
had to pay for that by nearly cooking ourselves there. No air con and strong
afternoon sun straight into our eyes was a bit of a bummer but the views were priceless.
