Biking through Valle de la Luna

Even the name Valle de la Luna – The Valley of the Moon sounds very mysterious and made me want to go there. I will be using a lot of SURREAL landscape expression to describe the surrounding area but it really is SURREAL. On our last day in Sand Pedro we rented bikes and very early in the morning took off to see this magical place. We were so lucky to literally have this place to ourselves for a good few hours. The gates to the park are open at 9:30am for some strange reason as that’s when it’s already hot and we were there at 7:30. Luckily the man let us in and few minutes later after crossing the gates we could enjoy the beautiful sunrise. It felt really deserted, haunted and just unrealistic. Again we had to rush there and back but beating the day’s worst heat was really good decision and as we were coming back to town and pass all other bikers I was glad we didn't need to cook ourselves out there.
