Baños

We left Ambato (the city that we arrived the night before) early in the morning and we went to 1 hour away by bus Banos (1800m). We have never heard about this place before but I’m so glad we ‘found’ it and decided to pop in as it is really beautiful wee hidden town. Surrounded by green peaks, waterfalls, lots of thermal baths and even active nearby volcano it is really awesome destination full of things to do.

On the second night here we didn’t hear it but the volcano erupted and in the morning there was quite a bit of an ash on our door steps and a huge ash cloud was visible above the mountains all day.
