El Chalten, Argentina
Today we arrived in El Chalten a beautiful wee village or rather reasonable new town that I’m sure that pretty soon will become one of the top destination in Argentina. Hopefully it won’t grow too much and will keep its relaxed atmosphere. So far for both of us El Chalten is our favourite place out of all the places we have visited so far. It’s beautiful location, cute architecture; friendly people and most of all access to some of the most amazing treks for free!!!:)
While here we did two treks, the first one to Laguna Torres which took us 6hrs return and the second one to the amazing Laguna de los Tres (8hours) where Bryan went mad and dived into a rather cold glacier lake. I have to admit that the second trek towards the end was quite demanding and we swore a lot while climbing up but the close views of Mount Fitz Roy were worth every breath.
LAGUNA TORRES (Day 1)
LAGUNA DE LOS TRES (Day 2)
