Turbo...yuk!
Before I say anything about our next destination Turbo I have to say that the drive between Madellin and Turbo was really spectacular all the way through and I didn't even try to sleep because I just wanted to look at this incredible green and lush landscape. Here is a few bad quality (most) phone snaps out of the bus window:
The quality of the road through the jungle was a different story though, horribly uncomfortable and I’d say one of the worst one since we came to South America. We experienced nearly 10hrs bus ride on this:
Plus we had many military checks on the way as this area is still not very stable. Always getting off the bus, showing our passports was involved and sometimes they even searched us.
In terms of Turbo….what a shit hole of a place there is no other name to describe it. It is the ugliest place we have ever been I think. Unfortunately there was no other way and we had to come here and spend the night if we wanted to go to Capuranga the next day. It was loud, noisy and stinky and on top of that very dangerous. Thank god we were lucky and met really nice Colombian family on the bus and so we stuck with them.
All the hotels were so dodgy, dirty stinky and just gross but we had no choice and had to stay in one. One had sewage right in its door steps so we went to the next one also filthy but slightly less of a shit hole. It is officially the worst hotel we have ever stayed. Another ‘thing’ that put me off this place was the view of this teenage girl without teeth and pregnant she looked like a prostitute with her legs wide open on the door step…yuk!!!This is our lovely room: 
The walls where so disgusting that I had to move the bed as far as I could from them and after that the night begun or rather waiting for the day light to come through the window the size of a shoe box.
