Goodbye Southland

Feels like only yesterday we left Gladstone in Australia and with only one year old Monty and pregnant with Antek we moved back to New Zealand to Invercargill. As much as I complained about this place in the past two years we did enjoy our time here. We made the most out of it and saw a big part of this corner of the country. We visited our favorite Fiordland National Park, The Catlins or Riverton a countless of times and we will miss the proximity we had to all of them. As to Invercargill itself ...well it is not that bad and many will find it great but it is not my kind of place. I explained it in my previous posts that the climate was a huge part of why I was unhappy here. Living in New Zealand feels far from the rest of the world but Invercargill made it even further. I am looking forward to Nelson and being so much closer to Wellington where there is a polish community and hopefully some polish evens. Saying goodbye to great friends that we made here is the hardest part but we are glad we had them all while living here. So now we are taking with us all the beautiful memories and moving forward. Moving from the bottom of the South to the top of the South:)
