Our local beach Oreti is not as close to where we live as St. Kilda back in Dunedin but 10 min drive is not that far anyway. It is a beautiful, very long beach where everyone is driving their cars. Probably this is something unique but not necessarily something that appeals to me. Maybe because its winter and terribly wet and windy winter I dont go there as much as I wish. Hopefully summer in this part of New Zealand is better as I really, really looking forward to it.
